Misty's pups were born on Friday afternoon (23rd May) over a two
hour period. Unfortunately one pup was unwell from birth and it
was decided the kindest thing to do was to let our vet give her
sleep, she wasn't responding to being hand fed and warmed
artificially overnight and was quite distressed, as was Misty.
Sadly another puppy passed away in the early hours of Tuesday
morning, we think she lay on it. Misty didn't appear to be
settled properly and her milk hadn't come down as well as it
should, we ended up giving her (on vet's advise) oxytocin - 6
doses, 6 hours apart, during which she passed what looked to have
been the remains of a couple of small partly formed pups which
must have died earlier in her pregnancy. Misty settled down
really well after this and she and her remaing two special little
girls are doing well.
Update 9th June ~ Misty's girls are thriving at two weeks, scroll
down for photos.
Update late July - Priya (white on chest) is now settled in her
new home along with Sachin (Black boy from Dazzle & Blaki's
litter) we wish them both many years of love and happiness with
human mum and dad Darcy and Craig.

These
photos were taken at 2 days old, all 3 pups were nursing well and
seemed healthy - sadly the puppy on the right with
little bit of white on her chest passed away in the early hours
of Tuesday morning, we think Misty must have lay on her.
