Critiques

BSDC NSW Champ Show Aug 1998. Pauline Stern-Hanf (Holland)

2nd Aust Bred Dog Class

Entire, pincer bite with 1 PM1 (R Lower) missing. Strong type male but all is in proportion. Good head with nice expression. Excellent stop, excellent dark eye. Nice small ear but head just slightly too heavy. Excellent overall expression. Excellent stop and parallelism. Good body but could have more reach of neck, little long in back, slightly sloping croup. Balanced angulation. Good chest, strong bone construction.

Movement – slightly close in rear, good side movement and a bit loose in front. Excellent coat, excellent temperament. EXCELLENT.

4 year old, scissor bite, medium head a little broad in skull, lacks chiselling, nice expression, eyes a little light and round, medium ears a little wide set, nice neck, good shoulders, good rear angulation, a little long, croup too sloping, lacking in undercoat, a little bit short on leg, otherwise good outline, moves wide behind, toes in in front, good side gait. Excellent.

BSDC NSW Champ Show. Aug 1996. Mme. M Berton-Sarlat (France)

3rd Open Dog Class

Full dentition, pincer bite, good height, rich coat, good texture, beginning of moult. Good balanced head, chiselled, but pinched muzzle, good eyes, dark hazel, beautiful ears low set on, fairly well carried on rather wide skull, bit cheeky, but overall masculine without coarseness. Good stop, good parallelism, good construction, fairly powerful flowing lines, good incline of neck. Weak back behind withers, soft in back, sloping croup, excellent chest, sufficient rear angulation. Fair shoulders, good bone structure, slight weakness in pastern, spread feet, dog at limit of weight. Fairly good gait, well carried tail.

Open Dog Class

Complete scissor bite, tall dog, head long enough but slightly broad in skull, excellent eyes, ears a little low set, good neck, well developed chest, too heavy at this moment, body slightly long, wide in standing, minimum angulation in rear, good in front, good bone, good coat, moves well. Qualification Very Good

Very solid, very masculan, body too long. Good proportions of head, overall rather powerfull but without being course. Excellent bone structure, rather dippy back, chest needs to come down more. Coat very dense and of good texture.

Baby Puppy In Show

1st Baby Puppy Dog Class

Very immature as one would expect from his age group. Balanced, pleasing head with a good length of muzzle and nice chiselling. Nice dark eyes, well positioned and of good shape. Tallish well set ears which he looks as if he will grow into. Had an alert, enquiring expression. Nice overall shape with a straight coat of good texture coming through. Nice neck, firm top-line. He obviously needs to come up on the leg but he has plenty of bone to do so. Balanced and steady on the move, covering a lot of ground for one so young. Excellent temperament. Overall a promising baby.
