TYPE ~ TEMPERAMENT ~ HEALTH

Whether a puppy is destined to be a family pet or a compeditive field - such as conformatiom shows, obedience, agility, herding, it still should have all of the attributes – if you want a Belgian, it should LOOK like a Belgian, it has to be healthy and it has to be of the temperament that suits your family and your lifestyle.  All new owners deserve these traits in their new puppy with the view to many years of love and companionship.

We try to ensure that by -

Breeding from dogs that have been Health Tested (eyes*, hips, elbows), copies of our health results are available for viewing and are also listed on our website.

Breeding from dogs that, to our knowledge, have not had an epileptic seizure.
We don't use the term "Seizure Free" because there is no test available so it can not be proven nor claimed.

All Lumineux pups are Registered with Dogs Victoria, Wormed, Vaccinated & Micro-chipped and come with an information pack and lifetime support.

Our puppies are born in our house, which is where they spend their first weeks and are handled from birth. We endeavor to maximize each pup's potential from birth to the time the puppy leaves for it's new home - by stimulating its learning ability, interests and natural instincts, using tests and exercises to develop and identify alert, friendly, fearless, inquisitive, happy and smart adults -
more info about that here.

We test our puppies in order to match the right pup to the right home, using a combination of tests including the Volhard PUPPY APTITUDE TEST and The PAWS© Working Dog Evaluation and of course our own observations.

Lumineux puppies are available to homes where they will be much loved members of the family, we are always available via phone or e-mail for help or advice. All of our pups are sold with a contract which asks that they be returned to us if their owners can no longer keep them.

* In Australia Eye Ccertificates are only valid for 12 months (dogs over 8 years can be given a final eye exam), so in order to use the terms "Free of Inherited Eye Disease" ,"Eyes Clear", "Eyes Normal" - a dog must have a current clear eye certificate (or be over 8 years). Our dogs results are listed with the date of their eye test.
