'Shago' or, as we call him 'Shaggy' is a friendly boy who was came back to live with us in August 2005 due to a change in his families circumstances.
He has grown up in a family home and gets along well with adults and children (slept in childs room at night). After a few months stay with us, giving us time to evaluate him, we feel that Shaggy is ready for that specail home that is out there waiting for him. Shaggy would be suitable in a family home, as an only dog, or possibily with an extremely easy going (confident older dog).
He would be best suited to a home with someone who has owned/trained dogs before and has confidence in handling a young exhuberant male in particular when he may come in contact with other dogs, eg. when going for walks.... (we had been told by his previous owners he had been attacked by an adult dog on more than one occasion whislt still a pup, subsequently Shaggy does have issues when encountering strange dogs).

Dec 2005 update - We took Shaggy to a Belgian Specialty show in Oct 2005, he coped very well for a dog who has never been to a show before, let alone been shown, his critique is below.

Mid 2006 - Shaggy spent some months in what we had hoped would be his forever home, unfortunately it didn't work out and he is back with us. He was returned to us desexed, so we are no longer able to show him, which is a shame as he is very attractive young male.

November 2006 Update - Shaggy has finally found his forever home, he has gone gone to live with Peter in country Victoria, to try to help fill the void left by the recent loss of Velvet Aust Ch Glencarr Black Velvet and her brother Nelson. We know that he will be well cared for and loved, he has already settled in well and we wish both Peter and Shaggy many years of happiness together.

3rd Intermediate Dog Class

2 1/2 years Complete scissor bite. Roman nose, enough stop and good skull, eyes could be darker, Small ears well set, could have more neck.  Good back but should be shorter, good croup. Chest could be broader in front. Well angulated in front and rear, turned out front feet. Missing undercoat. In the movement, very narrow in the rear and loose in the rear. Small male that should be more masculine. Movement not parallel. Very Good.
